Panchatantram [पञ्चतन्त्रम्]
is said to be written by Vishnu Sharma to educate three princes of a certain
King within a short period of six months.
Vishnu Sharma decides to educate the three princes by means of "story telling"
instead of regular education. He thus narrates many stories to teach five
different strategies namely:लब्धप्रणाश
